Today, I received an honor I never imagined when I first laced up a pair of spikes as a shy teenager in Los Angeles: I’m being inducted into the United States Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame.
Even writing that feels surreal.
I think back to the beginning—the early mornings, the heartbreaks, the tiny moments that didn’t feel important until they shaped who I became. I remember standing at starting lines all over the world, holding not just my breath, but the weight of a dream I wasn’t sure I was allowed to have.
Now, I get to stand in a different kind of spotlight. Not for a race, but for the body of work—and the body of belief—it took to get here.
And I want to say thank you.
This honor belongs to all the people who have walked, run, and fought beside me. My family, my coaches, my team. And to every woman who’s ever felt overlooked, underestimated, or told she wasn’t built for it—I see you. You are the reason I kept going. You are the reason I started Saysh.
Because legacy, to me, isn’t just about medals or records. It’s about leaving a path wide enough for someone else to walk through with confidence. It’s about designing shoes that actually fit a woman’s body, and building a company that fits a woman’s life.
Being inducted into the Hall of Fame is the celebration of a chapter. But I’m even more excited about what comes next. I’m building something with Saysh that will last far beyond my time on the track. We’re creating a better future for women and girls—not just in sport, but everywhere decisions are made. We’re challenging systems, pushing boundaries, and proving that women’s products, women’s voices, and women’s leadership matter.
So to our Saysh community: this is our win. Thank you for believing in me, in us, and in a world that puts women first.
Let’s keep running—for more than just medals.
With gratitude and love,
Allyson
